What can be Ceramic coated vs Powder coated?
Typically, Exhaust side components are ceramic coated ( Turbine housings, CHRA centers, exhaust manifolds, downpipes), whereas cold side components (compressor housings, charge piping are Powder coated.
What is turbine wheel clipping?
Turbine wheel clipping is a process where the turbine wheel is machined to remove material on the exducer of the blades with a cut-back. This allows more exhaust gasses to pass the wheel, increasing its flow capabilities.
